It is certainly not common for a yeast infection to be the underlying cause of swollen lymph nodes in the groin area. However with any medical concern it is highly recommended to contact a doctor as soon as possible.

Although advice is given over the Internet, you can never be truly certain of the source and subsequently their qualifications. Therefore contacting a doctor means you are sure to get the correct information and if there are any problems then they can immediately be addressed.

Reading about symptoms and possible illness or ailments over the Internet can be detrimental as it can cause undue stress which can simply be avoided by a trip to your physician. As more times than not, the illnesses you find and believe you may have are not actually what is wrong.

If, for some reason, you can not make it to the doctors in person then it is still worth contacting them via the phone. If you don't have their number it should be fairly easy to find on the Internet. Simply head to google.com and type in the name of your doctor's surgery and the town or city it is located in. The doctors should have a website, and if you head to their contact page you should find their phone number.

Yes it can. I was just diagnosed with a yeast infection. I didn't realize that I had one and let it go a little longer than I should have, and ended up with tiny red sores on my inner labia and swollen lymph nodes in my groin from the yeast. I was so scared that it was something more serious when I saw the bumps but they were just like a rash reaction from the yeast infection.

This post was incouraging to me, thank you for posting it. I have been freaking out i have herpes because of sores and swollen lymph nodes, but it seems next to impossible for me to have gotten it. I go to the doctors tomorrow and have my fingers crossed i am just dealing with a yeast infection.

This is very reassuring as I am having the same symptoms. I too went a
little longer than I should have without realizing I might have one and
then my GYN office had a mix-up about calling in my prescription so it
had over 24 hours to get even worse before I could even get the scripts
for it.

I too have noticed swollen lymph nodes in my groin and just
looked down there today and noticed sores which freaked me out as well...

But considering how darn itchy I was when I noticed I might have a
yeast infection reassures me that it is just a yeast infection gone on
for way too long .... And hopefully not herpes.
