A good vacuum...or you can get it steam cleaned...having just gone through my first and hopefully my last lice issue with my 15 month old...I have read probably every article and almost all say they die off the human host within 3 days. I have vacumed every inch of my house..under beds, couches, and washed ALL cloths, baths mats, toys, towels in hot water and dryed on the hottest setting in my dryer for 45 minutes. After treating everyone you could leave your house for 3-4 days...if you can..everything should be dead when you get home..just make sure you clean everything...I have treated my whole family and nit combed with conditioner almost every day for 2 weeks. Good luck it is a very tedious task..
