Body pain is obviously nothing to write home about. The common type of pain witnessed on the right side of the body is the "right side abdominal pain” which occurs in the abdomen. It normally erupts from the right of an imaginary line drawn from the center of the chest through the umbilicus or belly button to the top of the genitalia.

Before this right stomach pain starts, there must be some kind of irritation to the human organs situated in this part of the body. On the other hand, disease or any infection of these organs can also cause pain in the right side of the body. Therefore, it may be helpful to know that organs in the right side of the body in order to effectively understand the cause of right side stomach pain.

The organ and structures in the right side of the abdomen found in men and women include:

Skin over the right abdomen

Liver

Gallbladder

Pancreas

Right kidney

Right Urethra (the tube that drains urine from the kidney to be stored in the bladder

Right adrenal gland

Duodenum ( the very first part of the small intestines)

Right part of the large intestines

The Appendix

Right ovary in females

Right Fallopian tube (or simply right tube)

Muscles of the right abdominal wall

Blood vessels in the right side of the abdomen

There are also other structures, though not present in the abdomen but can cause right side abdominal pain, if irritated. They include the lower part of the right lung and the tumours from other sites.

Right side abdominal pain comes with strong waves like contractions causing persistent or irregular pain. It might also lead to other medical situations such as vomiting or making you feel like vomiting and loss of appetite. In any case, right side abdominal pain can be caused by any of the following:

Biliary colic or Gallstones

Cholecystitis or inflammation of the gallbladder

Duodenal ulcers

Kidney Stones

Appendicitis

Ovarian cyst

Ectopic pregnancy

Constipation

Pulled muscle

Trapped wind

That depends on where exactly the pain is in your side. Pain from the gall bladder would be high, pretty much directly behind where the rib cage stops. I just had my gall bladder removed and that's were my pain was. I also had low grade fevers with rashes, head aches and indigestion. My pain was more of a constant throbbing pain. Pain from the appendix would be much lower down on your side I would think.

I am no doctor though, but you might want to get that checked out, you just never know.

If it is your appendix it will hurt a lot more to lift your right leg.
The pain should also be relived when you put pressure on it, and hurt  when you remove it
I recently had mine taken out and this is how the doc determined it had to come out

From when I was 12 to when I was 18 I had severe pain on the right side of my body round the appendix and stomach area - lower right side to middle. Every 6 months it would feel like someone was twisting a knife into me for 3 days. I always went to bed, spoke to no-one, toughed it out and was OK for 6 more months.

At 18 I was explaining my condition to a "hippie chick" called Moon. She told me to cut out red meat. So, I did. I'm now 55, mostly vegetarian since Moon and still have my Appendix in and never had pain since!!

I'm no Doctor but.... You want to take a good hard look at the undesirable side effects of eating too much meat. Funnily enough most Doctors won't tell you about that. Oh, and I've seen a doctor about 6 times total in my life!

Stay away from Doctors and you'll live longer. At least in the US of A.
