Pregnancy test is the presence of HCG in your blood or urine. Because HCG is only produced after fertilization of egg. Ovarian cancer will not cause HCG positive. If pregnancy test of your daughter is positive, there are chances that your daughter had sex with some one.

That is false! I had a patient that found out she had ovarian cancer through a false positive pregnancy test. Its rare but CAN happen!!!

Yes, but only a very rare form of ovarian cancer, called germ cell ovarian cancer will cause HCG levels to rise & therefore show up on a home pregnancy test. The good news is germ cell ovarian cancer is very rare accounting for only 3 percent of all ovarian cancers. Peak age for this rare ovarian cancer is the early-twenties. Of the different types of germ cell ovarian cancers, only a few will cause HCG levels to rise, so a false positve home preg test due to ovarain canver is very unlikely

I'm trying it tomorrow morning. I have over twenty cysts, which can be normal (but I've had my for six months and not known) or could be PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome (but I have no other symptoms besides weight [but I've always been heavy] and irregular periods [which I've had the whole time I've been of menstrual age]). I hope to gain either peace of mind or relief, but I'm unsure. I've been told I need surgery whether it's PCOS or cancer. Right now my family and I are my only advocates. I found out about the source of my pain Monday, had an ultrasound Tuesday, and did labs today. Since my doctor's don't want to do much besides label it PCOS, they did not even want to do the labs they were my idea, and they only want to use birth control as a treatment since I'm heavy (which many continue to hurt my fertility and add to the weight) I hope it is cancer so they have to act and I won't be stuck getting painful, dangerous cysts for the rest of my life. I'm getting a second opinion Tuesday but some extended family members recommended this to ease my mind until then.
