If he's in denial, there's not much you can do to get him on the right track. He has to get there himself. Maybe losing his wife will help him make the decision to get help. Meanwhile, you could go to AA meetings (for families) that would help you deal with your own troubles in this regard. Good luck. (I grew up in an alcoholic household. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.)
