Basically gallbladder surgery is the major abdominal operation and the patient can leave the hospital the same day or the day after the operation. It depends on various factors that how soon the patient will be recovered. When patient is discharged then he recovers more quickly at home. In some cases complications can occur which can delay the recovery process. Most of the patients can recover in seven days and can start and join jobs. For weight lifting and other normal activities four to six weeks are must. Just in some days surgery is healed but care has to be taken for few weeks.
