Excedrin is the best thing for arthirtis -- bar none.  Excedrin is relatively expensive, and you may creat it yourself with two (2) extra strength acetominophin (generic Tylenol), two (2) extra strength (generic) aspirin, and a cup of coffee.  Tylenol Arthritis, Tylenol Back(ache), Tylenol Headache, and Extra Strength Tylenol are all the same product in different packages (don't believe me, compare and read the back of the packages for yourself), and is all a corporate scam.  I was sent to a rheumatologist, at one of the best hospitals in New York City, because I had a hypothyroid problem that had the same symptons as rheumatoid arthrist, and this is what she reccommended:  Extra Strength Excedrin; Rose Hips (which can be bought over the counter at drug stores, or health food stores);; and a cream called Mobysil, which is over the counter and not generally carried in drugstores, but your pharmacist will order for you if you ask.  If you can not find Mobysil, Aspercreme is a good substitute.  Be careful of how much of the Mobysil and Excedrin that you use because they both contain aspirin, and too much can result in an aspirin overdose, which can be lethal.  A hot bath or shower helps, but cool off for a half houror so, because your pores are open, and will absorb too much of the cream too quickly, and could cause other problems.  Who knew that my rheumatologist believed in holistic medicine, and only prescribed opiates when all else failed?  I have used Mobysil for over ten years, and my mother and all of her friends use it on a daily basis.  If none of the creams or pills work, you really need to visit a medical doctor because there are many other, more serious ailments that mimic arthritis, but are not.  I hope that theses remedies work for you.  Good luck.

As its name says it, Arthritis is a inflammation, so you can treat it as that, applying heat in the pain zone and taking some antiinflammatories like the glucocorticoid family

Arthritis Pain

Arthritis is a painful and degenerative condition marked by inflammation in the joints that causes stiffness and pain. Osteoarthritis, the most common type of arthritis, gets worse with age and is caused by wear and tear over the years.

Lose Weight

Your weight can make a big impact on the amount of pain you experience from arthritis. Extra weight puts more pressure on your joints—especially your knees, hips, and feet.

Reducing the stress on your joints by losing weight will improve your mobility, decrease pain, and prevent future damage to your joints.

Get More Exercise

There are more benefits to exercise than just weight loss. Regular movement helps to maintain flexibility in your joints. Weight-bearing exercises like running and walking can be damaging. Instead, try low-impact exercises like water aerobics or swimming to flex your joints without adding further stress.

Use Hot and Cold Therapy

Simple hot and cold treatments can make a world of difference when it comes to arthritis pain. Long, warm showers or baths—especially in the morning—help ease stiffness in your joints. Use an electric blanket or heating pad at night to keep your joints loose and use moist heating pads.

Cold treatments are best for relieving joint pain. Wrap a gel ice pack or a bag of frozen vegetables in a towel and apply it to painful joints for quick relief.

Doctors traditionally treat arthritis with anti-inflammatory medications and painkillers. However, some medications cause side effects, and a natural approach to pain relief is becoming more popular. Remember to consult your doctor before trying these natural remedies.
