Get a new dr. I have a great dr who spends a tremendous amount of time with me and has called me late in the evening to make sure that I have gotten results of tests. My cousin sees a dr at UCLA who specializes in fibromylalgia and she's not ever had any problems. If your dr treats you poorly, you need to see someone else. If you are unable to change doctors for some reason, tell your dr that you feel that you are being treated in a manner that you don't like and would appreciate being treated better.

It is very unprofessional for a Doctor to make you feel uncomfortable for going to see them because you are not feeling like you think you should be. If you go through an insurance company to see this doctor, I would ask them what to do and tell them how he/she makes you feel. I would find a new doctor who made me feel comfortable and understood more how I was feeling and really try to help me feel better...good luck

I went through 5 doctors till I found one who took me seriously. One doctor told me everyone has aches and pains. Another doctor told me to get married (I have no idea what that has to do with anything). Point is trust your instincts and if you don't feel your doctor is treating you right switch. Having a good relationship with your doctor is very important.

I spent years trying to get a doctor to listen to me. I was told I was just depressed, I would feel better if I wrote in a journal, and even one doctor told me I was suffering from the "Yuppie Syndrome" (trying to keep up with the Jone's).  Basically every doctor I went to told me it was all in my head.  I finally found a doctor that actually listened to me and was willing to at least try different things to make me feel better. I initially went to see her for my constant headaches, migraines, neck, shoulder, and arm pain.  Those were my primary problems and I didn't want to sound like a hypochondriac and tell her about everything else that I was having problems with (back, legs, knees, feet, fatigue, etc etc etc)  Eventually I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 2 years ago.  Since then, I honestly think my doctor has completely forgotten that I have this and we are going to have a serious talk the next time I see her.
Truthfully.....you are probably going to have to go through a lot to get a diagnosis.  I've found with every new doctor you have to always start at square 1 and work your way up from there.  But don't give up.....keep looking until you get a doctor that will listen to you, or if you can't do that, make your doctor listen to you.  It's also good to research and go in with all the facts.  Hope this helps everyone who is having a hard time and No, it's not all in your head!  :o)

The U.S. Health Care System is Compromised! Just over the last 10 years its been on a STEEP DECLINE. I know people see it. But its gotten so bad I think US hard working Americans that actually work to support ourselves and our families are WAY OUTNUMBERED by those Depending on FREE Government health care and welfare.

I have lived in numerous states and places and Sad but True my state of birth TEXAS ( I think) is the WORST on the list of declining healthcare. The Health care US Hard working Americans pay for have to nickel and dime every visit, treatment, prescription, ect. But for the MOST that are LIVING ( noticed I said LIVING) on the Governtment welfare and health care systems don't see, hear, or actually even CARE because THEY DONT PAY FOR IT.

The once great Medical field was actually for helping people. NOW you are a number the second you walk into the doors to a Doctor office or Hospital. Insurance companies make it hard for Drs., Tests, prescription, or hospitals to make a KILLING on seeing us AMERICANS that work and pay for our own health insurance. BUT the majority of the rest that LIVE ON THE GOVERNMENT don't care what it costs and 9 times out of 10 don't even look at the bill.

THIS is were the "GREAT" Medical field rubs their greedy hands together and hear CHA-CHING. Because you think the people LIVING on the government know, OR CARE what tests or prescriptions are really necessary? NO THEY DONT CARE! This is were the "Great" Medical field capitalizes! They can charge whatever they want, whenever they want, or maybe for things they NEVER DID.

Whatever the HUGE ASTRONOMICAL number of people LIVING ON THE GOVERNMENT, you think some Government agency is ACTUALLY Auditing ALL THESE CHARGERS?! NOOOOOOO They are whipping a signature on it and approving it. You know why? Because US as the hard working American PAYS 110 % of it. So next time you see those individuals climbing out a brand new Tahoe with paper plates, New IPhone 6 on their head, But a FOOD STAMP CARD in their hand at check out.

Let them know "YOUR WELCOME" And see the type of reaction you get. Oh and to beat the dead horse ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS that get caught crossing the boarder get to cut in front of EVERY line of a medical establishment to get that person a "FREE" health check up. FREE for them, NOT us hard working Americans. I fought for my country and I'm seeing it crumble before my eyes. How much longer are we as AMERICANS going to take it and stay silent.

Most people used to say, "hey I want to help and care for people I'm joining the medical field. Anyone saying that now are just as blind or don't care as much as our politicians " OBAMA".

They are joining it now because its a never ending JACKPOT. Unless we get some REAL Politicians with a voice and back bone its only going to get worse. We need to stand up and NOW!

Its time to turn this country around, this country many men and women that gave the ultimate sacrifice for. Lets do it for them, for us, for our children, and generations of Americans to come.
