My son who is 23 has had burning and pain in stomach for over a year. He used to drink alot of pop! Had endoscopy and showed inflammation of valve between stomach and esophagus. He is lactose intolerant. Advice?

If he's lactose intolerant, definitely stay away from dairy. As far as the inflammation, and burning, is probably caused by stomach acid seeping up into the esophagus. He could try sleeping with his head elevated, and take some over the counter acid reducers like prilosec or nexium. Avoid spicy or acidic foods.
