There are several reasons this can happen. You see your doctor and make sure it is not a medical condition. If it is you can get treatment, if not your doctor can refer you to some that can help with a mental issue.

It certainly could be stress or it could be related to medication you're taking.  Is it coming out in circular patches or just all over?

Yes, hair loss can come from being depressed. Calamities such as the death of a loved one, loss of a job, financial problems, stress within the family, health issues, etc. Can all trigger depression which leads many as yourself with loss of hair. I read that in order to fight depression, first try to analyze the reasons for your condition, and examine your own inmost feelings and motives. Be happy, be healthy!
