I'm going to have a heart valve replacement or repair, not sure which. I'm a 25 year old female. Does anyone know what questions to ask or have any experience with this? Also I do have an appointment with the surgeon. I'm just anxious.

Sure! Any surgery could make you anxious, my gallbladder surgery made me anxious....so you're not alone! Things to ask....inquire about the surgery itself, ask what they will be doing to you, ask them to explain in laymens terms....if you don't understand, don't be afraid to tell them you don't understand and they will be happy to explain things further. You can also research your surgeon and his credentials. Make sure you know the date and time of the surgery, if there is any special preparation you need to do or not do before the surgery. Good luck to you!

I've had surgeries before, but I was either too young or not planned out lol. It's so different when you have to wait haha. Thank you for your answer. :)

Wow, you are very young for this procedure. I do not know what Q's to ask, but I can let you know what to expect afterwards. It hurts, and a pillow to press on your chest when you cough is HIGHLY recommended. But it will not last forever, my mother-in-law went through it, it's tough but bearable.
