Some people call me an alcoholic because I drink 2100 ml in alchohol per day, I say that's not enough alchohol in quantity to constitue me being an alcoholic wouldn't you agree?

No, I don't agree with you.

Daily consumption of alcoholic beverages whether it's beer, whiskey, liquor or mixed drinks is truly a sign of an alcoholic.

Do you have a drinking problem? You may have a drinking problem if:

  • You feel guilty or ashamed about your drinking;
  • Lie to others or hide your drinking habits;
  • Have friends or family members that are worried about your drinking;
  • Need to drink in order to relax or feel better;
  • "Black out" or forget what you did while you were drinking;
  • Regularly drink more than you intended to;

This is not a comprehensive list. But if you have people that are worried about your drinking, you might want to reflect on their concerns to see if they have any merit.

You haven't given us enough information and, even if you specified what kind of booze you were drinking, it would still be difficult to answer your question

You may be a social drinker.
You may be a drunk.
You may be an alcoholic.

So how do you tell the difference? Easy peasy. A drunk doesn't have to go to the meetings.

If people who know you feel you have a problem .. You might want to take that seriously.  Sometimes, we're so close to our own problems, we can't see them.  Can you go without your daily alcohol with no problems?  Are you always thinking about your daily alcohol?  You might want to consult your doctor for the answers you're seeking.
