I always have to wear glasses, otherwise, I can't read anything for too long before the headache sets in.

Nope. Last time I had an eye test, I had 20/20 vision. Hopefully I'll be like my parents and not need glasses of any kind until at least late 40s.

I've had bifocal lenses since I as in college, back in the Dark Ages - you know, before TV.  ((giggle))

I am both near-sighted (right eye) and far-sighted (left eye). I remember when I first got my glasses when I was 13. I thought I had the wrong ones because I could actually see individual leaves on trees! I had no idea of what I was missing!!

I have serious astigmatism and so wear glasses all the time.  Without them, the whole world looks like a Monet painting.  Prescription has remained constant for at least 10 years, but now the Doctor tells me I have a starter set of cataracts so stronger glasses are in my future.
