If you want to better yourself and stop with the selfharm, take up a new hobby that will make you feel good about yourself like gym workouts and jogs around a pond or a lagoon. But you should talk things over with a counselor or someone to help you with your emotional pain and issues etc..

Of course you should stop self harming .. Because it is a destructive behaviour. What you need to do is deal with the problems you have expressing your frustration, hurt, anger .. Etc etc .. In other ways. Expressing your negative feelings is not the problem (we all have an innate need to express ourselves)  .. It's the method you've chosen that is the problem.  It helps no one. We all have problems .. Some, admitedly more than others .. But, the are tried and true methods of handling our frustrations and anger. Talk to someone .. Your parents, your doctor, your teacher .. Someone you know and trust that can point you in the right direction .. Towards hope and help, not away from it.

Self harm can be an expression of emotional pain, you need to learn to deal with how you feel in a more constructive manner and a less destructive one. Talk to you doctor and ask for help, don't issolate.

You need to talk to a doctor.  They can refer you to someone who can help.

Until then, have you heard of the rubber band technique?  It's when instead of using a knife, you use a rubber band.  You can flick it onto your skin, or put it on your wrist, pull back as far as you can and let go.  You might get a few bruises, but they're temporary and better than a knife cut.
