It could be tinnitus or ear infection. Tinnitus usually is a roaring sound, but I have read it can be a beeping sound too. I have roaring in my ears. I would suggest going to the dr. To rule out ear infection. Sleeping with a fan or radio turned low will help you sleep if it bothers you; I use a fan most times. Good luck.
