The popular answer would be don't eat sea foods because of the iodine content but far more diseases are caused by deficiencies rather than too much. Hyperthyroidism can be due to copper deficiency, copper being essential to iodine metabolism. Foods rich in copper are almonds, avocados, beetroot, green leafy vegetables, sunflower seeds and SEAFOOD!
