If your sugar level is 214 and its been a while since you've eaten anything with sugar or even dink anything with sugar like coffee then its bad. ALL IN ALL Take your sugar reading before eating anything sweet and see if the sugar level drops at 150
I am not sure about the types of meters there are in the states, but this sounds a little high. Here, our meters show in metric, so a .9 reading is high.
