I have osteoarthritis too and been having bad knee trouble. I am awaiting a course physiotherapy and if that does not help then a camera into my knees to see if anything shows up. They swell up with synovial fluid which causes terrible pain. I think that being active too long is bad, at least for me, and I am handling my present acute flare up with a mixture of rest and activity and strong painkillers. I saw a specialist last week and I never realised that knee pain is so notorious to pin down as it can be so complex and also that surgery can apparantly sometimes make things worse. I don't know if you are, with respect overweight, but if you are then losing some weight is very helpful for these damaged joints that carry us. It is apparantly the biggest thing you can do to relieve the pain. Hope this helps.
Taking a cod liver oil capsule daily, can bring relief from osteoarthritis . It will take a few days for the oil to get into your system . Also Osteocare advanced tablets that include, calcium, magnesium with zinc are also good .
