It will depend on the technique the physician uses. A few physicians in my area do total joint replacements and the patients are usually out of the hospital in about 2, maybe 3 days, they get about 3 or 4 weeks of home physical therapy and are then ready for outpatient therapy. The time is really up to you...how bad you want to push thought it and get back to doing your normal things.
