I saw that you said a stroke could be ruled out.....I'm going to assume that was from a CT scan, I would be sure to ask the doctor if the CT scan might need to be repeated tomorrow as evidence of small strokes is sometimes not immediately evident on a CT scan....just a thought.

Wouldn't a stroke effect the whole side of the body, not just the face?

Not always. Depends on the severity of the hemorrhage. You can have big strokes and small strokes. You can strokes you don't even realize are happening. Stroke is a very broad term for a short list of varying signs and symptoms for the most part.

Is it just numb, or does it seem lax as well? If it is just numb I would suspect a pinched nerve. If it is lax or sagging, Bell's Palsey.

Bells, Palsy, a Stroke, brain tumor, and some seizure disorders as well. The doctors will be able to narrow it down.
