Have you ever entered a room and instantly hated, detested, loathed a person you have just seen, not even met before?

Yes, it's only happened twice. Both times I realized they reminded me of someone who hurt or terrorized me.

No, I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, ...at first.

Hate, detesting and loathing are heavy, powerful emotions, I rather not expend so much effort on people who show themselves to be detestable.

Not instantly, no. Sometimes it takes a little time before I feel all of those emotions about someone.

Not immediately but after I talk to them 3-5 minutes.

I've had several people in my long life treat me 😔 this way mostly in job career setting.

Actually, yes---sometimes evil is unable to completely camouflage itself.

It's an awareness similar to the one dramatized in the early scenes of The Exorcist. With Max von Sydow as Fr. Merrin in 1973.

No way.  I don't make snap judgements about people .. And don't waste energy loathing them.  Some people might be annoying right off the bat though .. That can happen.

No , but I hate everything  right now ...cos I got a parking ticket this afternoon and the sign said I could park there for 2hours and I was only there for maybe a bit more than that and I don't like it... I'm venting,  so that's fine.

I think that one I met today was just not nice ... I can usually talk my way in or out of anything ... This was the first experience I've ever had where I couldn't... NO LIKE! She made me sad.

Have you ever watched a TV program called "Parking Wars"? It's pretty good. In addition to other segments, they follow a parking ticket writer around.

No.  I did once have a hard time getting past the fact that a man closely resembled my stepfather.  Turns out they had nothing else in common, and I was glad I didn't avoid him.

No.

Those adjectives are on the far side of the spectrum, and these feelings are usually reserved for people you actually know pretty well.

I have encountered this twice. Both times, I was right in my feeling. I don't like making snap judgments, but in each case, I could feel the hair on the back of my neck rise. I was courteous to both people, but could never get over that feeling.
