A quote from my niece :) " I know you love me the most aunt Jaimie cos your eyes smile when you sing to me and I play my daddy's drums .. Your eyes are pretty when they smile" most meaningful compliment I have had this year by far :) and my niece is awesome on the drums!! So awesome :) BAM !
Hey its kinda like my question! 😃
I think it would be "You know what you're doing" or "You know what you're talking about", anything among the lines of "i believe in you"
(which is very different from "I believe you can")
I was love when people compliment me on my beautiful teeth and smile.
Compliments about my intelligence and my character are the ones I prize the most. Compliments about looks are fun, but they're not the most meaningful.
Has got to be without a doubt when my psychology teacher back in high school shouted from all the way down the hall "(my full name) You are such a freaking gentleman!!!"
When someone compliments my kids (who are adults now with families of their own) .. THAT is what really makes me smile.
I walked into the music block at my school, and because the door is broken, it opened out far, banged into the wall and slammed shut. The brass teacher was also in there (I have never had anything to do with him, as I play woodwind), and he goes, '[my name], those flute players.' It was just a little thing, but the fact that he knew my name and that my first instrument is flute made my day, especially as I am the world's biggest introvert, and like to 'stand in the shadows'.
Could? Did give.
My chemistry teacher on my answer to a very complex chemistry problem.
"That answer is very reasonable." ( meaning accurate to three decimal places--in other words correct )
Such an answer from Dr Lin was high praise indeed!
I've had that I have treasured. The first: That I was wise.
The second - in a Master's class I got a paper back (with an A-). Professor had written "Great style, no substance". Not really a coompliment, but I still loved it.
