I'm wondering the same thing. I had a MRSA infection in an abdominal incision about 3 yrs ago.  Ever since then my upper abdomen has been somewhat bulgy and tender.

I saw on Mystery Diagnosis recently that a man had an enlarged spleen for years after some serious infection in his foot.
