I'm curious to know how many people developed FM after getting vaccinated. I received the flu vaccine and the symptoms started not long after!

There is currently no swine flu vaccine available, but one is being formed. However, back in 1976, when an outbreak of swine flu occurred, a vaccine was created and there were concerns that it caused neurological problems, which may have a connection with fibromyalgia. There has been evidence of abnormal brain involvement with fibromyalgia, so the neurological problems could possibly link back to the same problems with the 1976 vaccine, but nothing has been proven to show that the vaccine causes fibromyalgia.

Those that already have fibromyalgia should check regularly to see if there are any changes in their condition. The symptoms of swine flu, which include body aches, sore throat, fatigue, vomiting, diarrhoea, cough and a fever are similar to the symptoms of fibromyalgia, which causes flu like symptoms, so it is important to be make sure that you recognise any changes.

I suffer with fybromyalgia and had the swine flu vaccine 1 week ago. I am now suffering with chronic fatigue, pain and stiffness and have been unable to work. It is only 6 weeks ago since i had a flare up so i am sure this vaccine is a contributing factor to fybromyalgia sufferes.
