Hemroids are, very simply, blood veins that have engorged. The underlying causes can be several different things, IBS, constipation, certain liver disease, and obesity are just a few of the possible causes. The good thing is that hemroids are not life threatening. They CAN be terribly painful. Sometimes they will itch unbearably and sometimes they bleed. The previous answer suggested a trip to the Dr. And I think that is a great suggestion. Sometimes the symptoms of hemroids are hard to distinguish from something more serious and I wouldn't want to take a chance on that. Www.hemroid-central.com has the answers to most questions that people have concerning hemroids and also offers suggestions on treatment of hemroid symptoms. See your doctor and best of luck.

This is for the person who just answered the above question. Hemroids have been known to be cancerous they have also been known to be caused by many things one of them being blood clots. Not all hemroids are dangerous or caused by something that can affect you but it's always better to be checked by your physician to double check.

Hemorroids are just strained blood vessels that "pop" out. They are blackish and bluish because that is the colors of blood. (Like a bruise).I have never heard of hemorroids being cancerous.

This is for the person who answered the above question. Hemroids have been known to be cancerous in quite a few cases actually, and it's always best to see a physician to double check to be sure that it's not. Hemroids are caused by many different things one of them being blood clots....pregnancy...straining while stool passing...and many others but it is always safe to have them looked at because as i said before they have been known to be cancerous or even a result of colon cancer.

Ok now to answer your question. The reason hemroids are blackish/blueish is because that is the color of the blood in your veins, vessels, etc. The color is perfectly normal. It probably isn't cancer though if it popped and the color was normal but as i said before it's better to be safe and have it checked out.
