The best information you can get on it is through your doctor and or the Internet. My niece is bipolar and it was ignored for years. One thing I notice was her mood swings were so up and down and frequent. One minute she's happy next she hate life then an hour later she's bouncing off the walls, literally. Spontaneity and also promiscuity, that is what the doctor's said can be associated with it. She was also a cutter but I don't think everyone with bipolar is. With medication it can be controlled.

Now I am on Medicine to help me feel better, I was not feeling better, and I was told by my doc in the hospital it would take a while for all the med's to make me feel more like my self. If you experience mood changes within 5-10 minutes, I don't think its bi-polar because the manic and depressive stages usually last for a few months before changing. If you are adolescence, its normal to have mood swings and you might not have anything.Symptoms of Bi-polar include fatigue(excessive tiredness), disturbance of appetite, and persistent feelings of isolation and loneliness. The only way you can know for sure is if you get the doctor to check.Ask your mom to take you to the doctor and he will be able to tell you.If you do have be bi-polar, its OK and you'll just need to take medicine.Good luck!
Bipolar disorder is a serious mental illness that can be treated very successfully with medications and therapy. The symptoms are severe mood swings, very high highs, very low lows, erratic behavior, sometimes drug addiction or alcohol addiction and sexual promiscuity. You may suspect that you are bi-polar, the only way to be sure is to be diagnosed by a doctor.
If you suspect that you or someone you know has bi-polar disorder, please go to your doctor.

I get this too. I will be the happiest I have ever been and then some little noise or distraction will trigger anger and then I'm mad and irritated for no reason and then I calm down and realize what I have done and cry my eyes out I don't know what's wrong with me.
A good book to check out is "The BiPolar Handbook - Real Life Questions with up to date answers" by Wes Burgess, MD, PHD
I believe is when you have mood swing not being able to sleep irritable and then some times you have suicidal thoughts.
You really need to go talk with a mental healthcare professional and see what he/she has to say. He/she can lead you in the right direction.
Get a therapist. It'll take a while, but you'll come to a conclusion eventually, and the medication will help. Kind of. Sometimes.
I think I might be bipolar one min.I'm fine the next I'm trippen and say things to people that piss them off then I'm ready to say sorry.it happens every day
