Actually, an ovarian cyst can also give a false positive.  Unless you're a doctor, please do not give unsubstantiated answers with such claims with the words "always" or "never."

No, it is next to impossible to have a false positive on a pregnancy test. The test detects for the hormon HCg, human choroinic gonadotropin. You only produce this hormone when you become pregnant. THere is nothing else that will make the pg test show up positive. Only this hormone

I have to disagree with your answer,traces of blood and protein in your urine can cause a false positive test,also certian cancers.
