Can Men Get Cystitis?

Men can certainly get cystitis, as it is caused by bacteria entering the urethra.
It is not sexually transmitted however, so having sex with him shouldn't pass it on. As the above answer says, hygiene is a good preventative measure.

I have cystitis now and have just gone for the treatment however hygiene is not the case for me as I wash everyday etc... However fragranced toilet tissue and soaps are thought to be a cause?!
