The perfect diet for osteoarthritis patients is one loaded in vitamin E. This can be found in egg yolks, corn, beef, and even sun flower oil. This assists in reducing tissue injury due to smoking, aging or strain.

If one consumes Omega-3 fatty acids frequently, then it helps in lessening pain and discomfort. However the top supply for this is oily fish range.

Citrus fruits, pineapple, strawberries, melons, kiwi fruit, and blueberries need to be included in diets which are rich in Vitamin C. One also needs silicon in diet to have stronger and hard bones which can be found in oats, barley, wholegrain cereals, and root vegetables.

There are number of anti-inflammatory diets especially for arthritis. Omega-3 tops the list. It is a natural anti-inflammatory recommended particularly for inflammation of all types. Other anti-inflammatories are holy basil, turmeric, ginger, green tea, quercetin, vitamin E and C, olive oil.

Avoid processed flour and sugar, both shift cox and lo enzyme towards inflammation. Fasting is recommended for osteoarthritis patients. Avoid pro-inflammatory foods like meat, corn , dairy and eggs. Omega-6 is also pro-inflammatory.

Hi Taimur, interesting answer. How frequent and how long do you recommend for fasting? I have found Omega-3 supplements incredibly beneficial.
