Impetigo is bacterial disease and needs oral or injectable antibiotics for the treatment. Strong topical antibiotics like bactroban are also applied along with oral/injectable treatment. Neosporin is weak antibiotic and does not treat the impetigo. So, it will be better to apply bactroban.
