You are more a danger to them than they are to you. This is hospital acquired MRSA (I got it the same way 12 years ago and still have it).

It is spread through contact with an open wound not through breathing the same air.

Hand washing is key for all parties.

MRSA is spread by touch, so wash your hands frequently and use good hygiene. It is not air borne so you should be fine to visit.
