There is no evidence that using a tampon will have any effect on Z-max treatment, assuming that is what you’re using to treat your chlamydia problem. It’s probably a good idea for you to get in touch with your doctor is you’re not seeing any changes to the symptoms you might have with chlamydia (though many women do not experience symptoms). Your doctor will be able to tell you whether or not a tampon would be suitable for whatever kind of chlamydia treatment you are having, but the chances are that they’re not going to cause a problem.

For many women, a tampon is near enough necessary during a period, and hence medication should not be affected if they are worn.

Chlamydia is actually quite a common problem in the United Kingdom, and many other countries. It’s one of the most common STDs around, and treating it has become a little easier. The usual treatment for this problem is a course of antibiotics that is prescribed by your doctor. If the antibiotics are taken correctly, then there is a 95 per cent chance that your treatment is going to be effective and you’ll soon be completely free of chlamydia. The course of antibiotics that you take can either be a single dose, or a much longer course that can last up to two weeks at a time.

If there is a rather high chance that you have been exposed or infected with chlamydia, then treatment may have to start before you have your test results. If your partner has chlamydia, you can automatically receive antibiotics to get rid of the problem for you - as chances are, you will have the sexually transmitted disease too. These days, you can never be too careful when it comes to sexual health.

Personally, I have NEVER used a tampon and I believe that no female should. I mean think about.....if you stuff a leaky hole with paper...the smell never gets out and the flow stops and absorbs. Personally I want as much as possible to leak out so that I am as healthy as possible.

The chlamydia is bad enough. Sometimes we women can go years with this undiagnosed. I would definitely break out the kotex.
