The Internal ear or Inner ear is basically the bony Labyrinth. It has two functional parts which are the organ of hearing or the cochlea and the vestibular apparatus which is the organ of balance.
The two main functions of the internal ear are that it enables the ear to hear and also maintains the balance in the human body.
There can be many cause for inner ear problems and diseases. A foreign object in the inner ear can cause a problem. Water from bathing, swimming or rain can cause a problem. If the ear or face is hit by an object, it can cause problem to the ear. Dermatitis can also be a cause of skin problem in the inner ear.
