Immune system can take 3 weeks to 2 months to produce antibodies to HIV. Test after 2 months of HIV transmission is almost 95% accurate. Only 5% of affected people can take longer than 2 months to produce antibodies. HIV test after 3 or 6 months can give 100% accurate results.
