I don't think so, if you don't already have a mental deficiency, I have a niece that use to have them, she worked with a brain surgeon and they found out the cause of them and was treated and she no longer has them and she went through college and passed I would not call that stupid, you have to work closely with a physician and a specialist in the field that knows how the brain is wired, take note of when you have them, any medical problem can create other problems when left untreated.....the best to you
