A person with diabetes should have enough information about the disease to know that even an injection of medication with a needle can cause problems. Anything which enters pass the first layer of skin is known as an invader, and sometimes invasions are not welcomed by the organs of the body that keep you going. If you know someone is wanting to do this and has elevated sugar levels, advise them to discuss it with their doctor and he will not give his ok if he feels their sugar level is at a dangerous level.
