A family member just called. Appendix burst. Sounds fine on the phone. Said a hospital stay for three days and antibiotics for a week but no surgery.Don't all burst appendixes need surgery ?

I thought they had to be removed right away also but after reading this article, I guess they can put you on antibiotics and not have to operate. Good question as I had to look it up to be sure before I answered .
