Because those of us who've been around here for a long while know there is a great deal to look forward to, whether it is in view right now or not.

There will be an eternity to be dead, let this miracle we have play out a little longer, you might see what I mean.

Dear Anonymous,

I am 72 years old, and believe me I CAN accept that you no longer want to live.

And what I ask you to accept is that you have got to see it through...

This is life, and you must see it through. Day by day or moment by moment if need be, you somehow find a way and You See It Through.

I accept you feel that way. I also accept there is something you are not wanting face or you wouldn't feel that way. Why not call the number echooos gave you and see if they can help you find a solution. Life just plan sucks sometimes. I get that. I will say that if you hang on and get some help it does get  better.

I can accept that you no longer want to live, but, you will get through this.  This depression is temporary.  Talk to someone who might be able to help you get through it, but please don't suicide.  My cousin's best friend did, and not only was it hard for the victim's family, but it was the hardest thing my cousin ever went through.  If you don't want to live, at least do it for the people who care about you.

Every day brings with it another chance to start over. There are people with cancer and other diseases that would LOVE to have a chance for another day. There are soldiers at war fighting for your right to live! Please don't give up. You are here for a purpose.  Don't throw that away!!!

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Whatever you're going through is not worth ending your life over. There are people fighting to live who would love to have what you do.

Think about everyone around you. They would be devastated if you were gone. I lost two people very close to me because they felt the same way you did. Ty has attempted suicide the first time, but was still alive. All he would talk about was how guilty he felt, how he realized his problems could be fixed, how life would have eventually gotten better... He was so young.

Please don't throw your life away. I want to help you.

I accept that it's your wish to kill yourself and that you have no wish to keep living.

I totally believe the fact that you no longer want to live.

The problem is that people who no longer want to live always make at least one more equally bad decision---that there are no other options.

And then when you could normally find out that you have been totally wrong, you are dead.
