I've always had recurring thoughts of killing myself but I'm scared that people will think I'm fishing for attention if I talk to someone about it?

You should talk to someone about it no matter what others think. Better to talk and get it out of your system before you do something cowardly and hurtful to others. TALK !

First of all, it is def hard to get talking with a friend because they can easily think you're crazy. It is not normal to think about those things, but it does not make you crazy or weirder than most people. Almost everyone thinks about death at some point, and it is just that you have been thinking of the topic for a  long time than most.i would suggest talking to a professional therapist, but you could also talk to a good friend about it. I would highly recommend not talking about it to too many people to avoid the judgements. Just one person should know this about you, and make sure it is someone whom you know isn't going to judge you.
