Cancer mostly originates from cell repair processes that have gone wrong. Our immune system normally deals with such mistakes by 'taking out' abnormal cells, 'cancer' only becomes evident when the immune system is overwhelmed. Blood tests for cancer antibodies can (quite often) be positive but no cancer exists because the immune system has already dealt with it.
