Well I just got mine done today (January 9, 2010) and the person who did mine said it will be about a week til the swelling to go down all the way, but it should start going down within the first couple days. Just keep ice on it the first 3 days and rinse and wash your mouth out the the sea salt solution and just keep the piercing clean so it doesnt get infected and you can change the jewelry for it in 4 weeks.
I just got mine done four days ago..Third day (yesterday) was WAY bad. So I iced it down..And it went down a bit.. And I've felt and seen it go down. It doesn't really hurt..Except it is digging into my lip on the inside and leaving a circle where the back it... But not so much since the swelling went down. My mom said it SHOULD go down all the way by the end of week two.. I hope I'm a fast healer. :D
I got my piercing done on january 14, and the swelling went down already,so I will like to know if ican change the jewelry to a smaller one,?,,because its to big and everytime I eat or talk I bite it!!! I will like to know also, around my jewelry I have like little bit of redish, when would it go away?!!,,,but it doesnt even hurt me and its not swollen!!its just red around it!!
I have no clue wish I could help I'm having trouble with mine as we speak! Trying to find answers! I have had mine for 9 weeks and its still swollen a little!
I Do not have my monroe but my best friend does and she said it always swelled bad but the worst is for like 3 days to 5 days. Take care of that good or it will get infected too
i just got mine a week ago and its still swollen, not as big as it was when i got it done . Its also digging in to the back of my lip and leaving a circle on my lip, is that normal?
Ice it down everyday for about a week 0r two?..&&the swelling, it should go down. That's how long mines took. :P Also don't pick at it/ play with it,might take long-err? ? Haha.
