I am a 39 your old woman. One of my doctors had blood drawn to check all my levels. My potassium level was 7.3. I have a doctors app on the 29th, but I cannot stop worrying about it.I'm wondering how my levels got so high?Did this happen gradually or all of a sudden? And how will it be lowered?

This is known as Hyperkalaemia. Overuse of certain foods may cause high potassium level. Like Orange juice, potatoes, bananas. Some medications like Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs), can rise potassium level. Salt substitutes often contain potassium. Over-eating salt will rise potassium level in body. Avoiding these things can remarkably lower your potassium level. Prefer not to take any medication if its not dangerous.

Hyperkalemia (high potassium) is most often caused by defective renal excretion (kidney disease), severe burns, intestinal obstruction or Addison's disease.
Please go see a doctor.
