I believe that if you catch it in the early stages it can be cured but it will kill you if you wait too late. I lost my mom to it last year..

Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system. There are two types of lymphoma, Hodgkin Lymphoma and non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Like very many cancers it is possible to make a full recovery and live a long and happy life after cancer, but it is a very serious illness.

Most lymphoma are non-Hodgkin (only about 20% are Hodgkin). Lymphoma can be treated by radiotherapy, chemotherapy, steroid therapy or monoclonal antibody therapy. Usually chemotherapy and radiotherapy are standard treatments and then used with a combination of the other therapies listed above.

Lymphoma is a complex disease and there are 14 different types of lymphoma.

With any illness such as cancer it is important to seek both professional medical advice and emotional support. There are many cancer organisations who can help with emotional issues and help by giving advice on some of the issues which you may need to consider. In addition, your doctor will be able to answer any specific queries which you may have.

I just found out I have it two days ago and I'm only 13, I asked the doctor if people have ever died from it. And he said many people have, but also many people have survived it too so I guess it depends?

Yes you can,
I was almost diagnosed with it.....but I wasnt because doctors werent sure what it was or if it was really cancer...the bumps have passed but from time to time I can still feel the bumps but to have a doctor unsure about it is depressing and I'm only 12, so I'm thinking the cancer is hiding in my body because I have most of the symptons for it and I'm scared and confused about how you know the cancer is killing you.
