My One-year-old Son Has Swollen Lymph Nodes In His Neck And Under One Arm. He Has Also Quit Sleeping. Does Anyone Know A Possible Reason For This?
Take the baby to the Dr for a complete blood work with white cells differentiate, the nodes have been swollen for more than a month&tbsp;to my understanding without mention of other symptoms.
I am currently going through this with my three year old son. I just discovered it yesterday. The dr. Has done a complete blood count but I am still not comfortable with it. My son is his normal playful, cheerful self but the node is the size of a 50cent piece and I am worried. The Dr. Gave me antibiotics and wants to see him back in 4 days to check the progress of it. I am thinking that I will have a second opinion.
The little tike sounds like he has a virus .You didnt' mention if he has a fever. If so he probably has the flu' only because it so prevalent shots up to date?and everything has been normal so far I would not worry still take him to his pediatrician I'm a father of five and have grand kid's I speak from experience.
Swollen lymph nodes are a sure sign of infection. my youngest child had similar probelms. When I took her to her pediatrician, he said she had an ear infection. Has he been pulling on his ears???
I hope you find out soon what is wrong....

Our baby has a peasized under the skin and on the left neck. She has an ear infection that is pretty bad and the doctor was not to worried about it. When the antibiotics are done we will keep an eye on it and she has her one year appointment in two weeks!
It might be the mumps call the dr tomorrow or if he is bad then take him to the emergancy room but tell them when you get there what you think it might be.that way he don't infect other people.
