What Are Blood Worms?

A couple ways I can answer this.  Bloodworms as I know them come from brackish to salt water.  They can be of various sizes.  I have seen them as big as about 16inches when they stretch out, but as little as 3-4 inches.  I'm sure they are much much smaller when they hatch.  Those that I use for fishing are flesh tone to red in color and they have what appears to be a very dark red blood flowing through them.  When you get them upset, the blood will surge back and forth through the body.  They have a neck that they can "shoot" out that has 4 pinchers on it (two sets that make a claw almost.)  No they don't bite, but they do pinch and it hurts.
Also, I have seen at the pet store in 4 different forms.  Frozen, freeze dried, pellet form, and preserved in liquid.  Those that are frozen are in little "ice cubes", freeze dried are almost powdered but they are still little tiny worm shapes( you can also find freeze dried in cubes) the pellets are just pressed bloodworm matter, and those preserved in liquid are just that.
Now for your little frogs, I would probably try the frozen ones and thaw them out as directed, but they would probably eat the freeze dried too.
