Feeling stressed? If there was a sure-fire way to solve your problems, someone would have packaged it, marketed it, and made a significant profit from what would be known as a wonder product.
The truth is that stress is something that affects all of us at some time or another, and how we react to stress is key to our well-being.
Here are some useful suggestions I've come across throughout my stressful life:
Keep things in perspective. No matter how terrible your day has been, how impossible a deadline seems, or how stressful your home life is - looking at the bigger picture usually makes you feel better.
Watching a really sad movie or a documentary about war zones (as horrible as that may sound) often helps me realize my problems are rather trivial in comparison.
Get some exercise. Working out releases endorphins in your body, and helps to get rid of stress. It's also a good way to get fit, and helps you feel better about yourself.
Get drunk. Alcohol isn't always the solution but, with good company, it can really help take your mind off things.
Just make sure not to over-do it, as that'll just make you feel a whole lot worse in the morning!
