Grave's Disease can be a serious problem if it is not treated at all. It can lead to various heart problems as well as problems with pregnancy. It is possible that you will suffer a miscarriage if you simply leave the condition untreated whilst you are pregnant and even if you do not, there is a huge chance that the baby will have development problems. In extremely severe cases the condition can in fact be fatal as it develops into another, more serious condition.

This condition is called Thyrotoxic storm and it is a life threatening condition. You will know if you develop the condition as the symptoms are quite severe with restlessness, shaking and a pounding heart being common symptoms.
Overall it is a lot better to get the condition treated as soon as possible otherwise you are risking your health and possibly welcoming death. Your doctor will be able to tell you the various treatments available.

Graves's disease like all serious illnesses should be treated at once. And when a doctor tells you what to do, then you have to do that. I have a similar illness called callagenous colitis. I have seen a specialist and by following his advice I have a better quality of life . . .and if fact . . .I am alive to write this.

If left untreated, Graves' Disease can lead to heart problems and problems in pregnancy, and an increased risk of a miscarriage. Severe, untreated Graves' Disease can be fatal.

Both Graves's disease and mine is usually brought on by an acute stress, such as trauma surgery or infection. Symptoms are severe, with a pounding heart, sweating, restlessness, shaking, diarrhea, change in consciousness, agitation and confusion. Congestive heart failure can develop rapidly and lead to death.

Getting rid of any of the stress you might have will help a lot. Mine was first brought on when both of my parents and my father-in-law all died within months of each other.

There are ways to get help for stress. You should take care of yourself, and follow the doctor's orders, and enjoy your life.
