My daughter has autoimmune hepatitis and is doing fine this is how it was described to me your body is rejecting your own liver and is very treatable unless it went to far undetected then you will need a liver transplant but if not it is treated with high dose of prednisone at first then a drug called immuran for the rest of your life you will be weened off the prednisone slowly you will gain weight but stick with it regardless what anybody says about your weight my daughter has had it for 5 yrs now and is doing great and is now pregnant and I'm going to be a grandma but please take your pills because the LIVER is the hardest ORGAN to attain for a transplant we found out she had it on her 12 birthday and she is 17 now TAKE YOUR PILLS PLEASE

Autoimmune hepatitis is when the liver, is attaching the immune system rather than aiding.  It is making your immune system unable to fight off simple viruses etc. And is not able to filter out toxins properly.   You should check with your specialis to get more information, I'm not sure which one it is, but there is a form of hepatitis that is incureable and one must wear a bracelet, as it can be contracted.  I met this poor young fellow one time, he was a little slow, bless his heart, and he showed me his bracelet. He then said, I can't touch you or ever have kids.  Better to get more informed with family physician and get the proper referrals in order to better understand the conditions of you diagnosis
