You will see much further back in time if you use tiger eyes.

I always see into the past better when I'm Chinese eyed ! LOL
By looking into space you are looking back in time. Your bear eyes would be considerably helped with a telescope. Although bears can see as well as humans and have special adaptions that allow them to see underwater and to filter snow glare.
