When I was a teenager, I did attempt suicide. What I found out is that it is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

You won't always feel this way. I can promise you that. You do, however, need to find things that you're involved with that bring you in contact with positive people - things that give you joy - and sometimes that means getting out of your comfort zone.

I can tell you from personal experience that suicide is really not the answer.

Because many people who attempt suicide and fail end up being thankful that it didn't work when they've gone on to live fulfilling lives. If someone feels this way they should reach out for help instead of attempting something that could be so final, they owe it to themselves and the life they can be living a few months down the line.

There are a FEW valid reasons for suicide ... Mainly if you have a terminal disease that will require you to suffer before finally dying of it.

But most of the reasons people commit suicide comes down to one personality flaw ... Cowardice.  They are afraid to make the tough choices to face their problems or better their life, so they try to avoid it by suicide.

FYI, I'm 14 1/2

Even though said person is feeling bad, and things seem as though they never will get better, everything will get better.  High school is just a small part of someone's life.  If someone suicides, the rest of the world loses everything that they would have had to offer in the future.  You would lose your friends, family everything that you ever known and loved.  If this isn't enough to someone from killing themself, think about what scientific discoveries there are to be made in the future.  We live in a time of rapidly increasing discoveries being made.  Think about the world of opportunity that the discovery of gravitational waves opens up to us!  Said person would never know.

Death is something that is irreversible.  There are no second chances at life, and I believe that there is nothing after death that is as wonderful and amazing as life is.  YOLO!

I'll never have an answer to that question that will satisfy anyone. At this point in my life, I've found too many reasons to do myself in. It doesn't have to be that way for you though.

Because it will hurt those that you care about.

For a short time in my teens I considered it. The thing that stopped me was I knew my mother could not afford a funeral. She was working two jobs and sometimes we barely had money for groceries.
